Looking for more real world data to explore?
Can’t wait to finally start traveling again?
We have just what you need, including another chance to win a free all-access membership to Maven!
We’ve just added a HUGE new data set to the Data Playground with real data from Airbnb, one of the world's largest online marketplaces for vacation rentals.
This data set is perfect for applying your ETL, data analysis, and visualization skills, so fire up your favorite BI tools (Excel, MySQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and dig in!
To go along with this release, we’re launching the Maven Vacation Challenge and giving away a free all-access membership to the winner.
We’ll share more about the challenge details below, but first let’s talk about the data…
About the dataset
This dataset contains 2 tables, in csv format
The Listings table contains over 250,000 Airbnb listings from 10 of the world’s most visited cities (each record represents one listing), with fields containing details about the host, location, price, type, ratings, etc.
The Reviews table contains over 5,000,000 Airbnb reviews from the same 10 cities (each record represents one review), with fields containing the listing id, review date, and reviewer id
NOTE: We omitted the review text to reduce file size, but it's fair game to include if you can find and integrate that data into your model!
