New Data Playground Challenge!
Looking for a new data set to play with? How about a free all-access ANNUAL membership to the Maven platform?
We've got you covered on both accounts!
We just added another rich dataset to the Data Playground, with New Year's resolution tweets from 2015.
You can have a lot of fun with this data set, so reach into your BI quiver and pick your favorite tool. Whether it's Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau, there are plenty of stories you'll be able to tell.
To go along with this release, we're launching our New Year's Resolution Challenge, and giving away a free all-access annual membership to one lucky winner.
We'll share more details about the challenge below, but first let's talk about the data...
About the Dataset
We're looking at tweets from 2015 containing New Year's resolutions
Each record represents one tweet
Records contain the date & time of the tweet, geographic location, full text, and category
Recommended Analysis
For this challenge, the recommended analysis is simple: all you need to do is share your top three insights/findings and include a visualization of your choice.
What You Can Win
As part of this New Year's Even Resolution Challenge, we'll be giving away an annual all-access Maven membership completely free of charge. The winner will get access to all of our Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL courses (along with our upcoming Machine Learning series), and direct support and coaching from our expert instructors.
No purchase is necessary to participate. As always, this challenge is open to both current Maven subscribers and new students who have no relationship with Maven.
Check out the official rules below...

How to Play
Earning entries is easy to do and can happen in a few different ways:
Follow Maven Analytics on LinkedIn
Share a LinkedIn post that contains both a direct @ mention to @Maven Analytics, and the hashtag #newyearseveresolutionchallenge (It's okay if you already follow Maven, you can still play)
Share your top three insights/findings along with a visualization of your choice (Anything you find in the data counts as an insight - just be a storyteller!)
Tag, mention, and invite 5 LinkedIn connections to view your post or play along
See my example post below:
It's that easy 😊
PRO TIP: Use mentions to tag people who you think would be interested in this challenge - they'll probably appreciate it.
Don't want to participate in the New Year's Eve Resolution Challenge? No problem. You can still analyze the data on your own. All of Data Playground data sets are completely free and are available for everyone to learn with. Feel free to dig in anytime.
